How to Submit Your First Product
Getting your product listed on Uneed is straightforward and designed to be creator-friendly. Here's everything you need to know to make your first submission successful.
Before You Submit
Create Your Account: Make sure you have an active Uneed account. You'll need this to submit and manage your product listings.
Prepare Your Materials: Gather high-quality screenshots, a compelling product description, and any demo links or videos that showcase your product effectively.
Step-by-Step Submission Process
1. Access the Submission Form
Log in to your Uneed account (or create one) and click on the "Add your product" link in the navigation bar.
2. Fill out those two fields
Product Name
Website URL
Our robots will then automagically gather all the information they can find from your product's website, and will auto-fill most of the fields you'll see in the next step.
3. Fill out the missing information
First, check that the auto-filled information is correct.
Once you did that, you need to fill out a few fields that our robots won't complete themselves:
Category: In which category should your product appear on the website
Tags: Select up to 3 tags to describe your product
Rich Description: This is the description that will be used on your product page. Feel free to describe as many things as you want, you've got the room here 😄!
Media: We usually manage to get your logo from your favicon, and one image from your Open Graph data. But you can, of course, update them, add more images, or even add a video presentation of your product!
4. The "Sell" part (optional)
If you want to sell the ownership of your product, you can mark it as being "On sale". This is a paid feature ($10).
You'll have to fill out some basic information about your tech stack, your revenue, etc. You will also get a mention in our weekly newsletter!
5. Set your launch date 🚀
You have two ways of launching on Uneed:
Go through our waiting line ($4.99): You join the line, and a launch date is automatically assigned to you. This may be several months away.
Skip the waiting line ($29.99): You skip the line, and can choose your launch day. Way more handy if you're in a hurry or want to have maximum control over your launch!
Note: in addition to these rules, products that got submitted through the waiting line have to received at least 5 upvotes to stay permanently published on Uneed.
