When and why to relaunch your product

Your first launch on Uneed might not be your last. A relaunch lets you re-present your product to the community after making significant improvements. Here's what you need to know.

How to relaunch your product

Relaunching is straightforward:

  1. Go to your product page on Uneed
  2. Click the Relaunch button at the top of the page
  3. Pick your launch day and complete the checkout

That's it — your product will be queued for its new launch day.

How much does it cost?

A relaunch costs $15, and you get to pick your launch day. That's 50% less than a regular skip-the-line option.

Uneed Pro members get 1 free relaunch per month included in their subscription.

Good reasons to relaunch

A relaunch makes sense when your product has genuinely evolved:

  • Major redesign or rebuild — new UI, new tech stack, big performance upgrade
  • Significant new features that change what your product does or who it's for
  • Pivot — new target audience, new business model, new positioning
  • Rebrand — new name, new identity, new direction
  • New major version (v2, v3...) with substantial changes since your last launch

When NOT to relaunch

  • Your first launch didn't perform well (that's not a reason on its own)
  • You only fixed bugs or made small improvements
  • You just want more votes without substantial changes
  • You changed your pricing and nothing else

Timing tips

  • Wait at least 2 months between launches (Pro members have no cooldown)
  • Make sure your new features are stable and tested
  • Update your screenshots, description, and media to reflect what's new
  • Consider launching on a Monday or Tuesday for maximum visibility

Make it count

When you relaunch, treat it like a fresh launch:

  • Update your product page with new screenshots and description
  • Highlight what changed since the last launch
  • Reach out to people who engaged with your first launch
  • Share the relaunch on your own channels

A well-timed relaunch can give your product a serious second wind. Just make sure you're bringing something genuinely new to the table.
